8.30 AM – 9.30 AM: TRANSPORTATION
We’ll pick you up from the hotel early in the morning on our way to Tangier, the source of the economy and administration in the north of Morocco. It has a very important role for business and it’s very cosmopolitan. It’s also considered a millennial city, controlled and ruled by many different regions and tribes in the past. You’ll discover the new part of the city, going across the France Square to see the Boulevard Pasteur, the diplomatic district. You’ll see also the old city or medina and the popular souks. In the afternoon, we’ll get into the vehicle towards Tetouan. Overnight stay at the hotel..
TETOUAN – CHEFCHAOUEN
After breakfast, we’ll visit the city of Tetouan, also called « the White Dove ». We’ll go for a walk into the old medina, considered one of the most precious gems of the Muslim culture —narrow streets, pretty little squares and corners with massive handmade doors that will pay your attention… We’ll finish the tour with a wonderful landscape of this city before going to Chefchaouen.
Once we arrive to Chefchaouen, it will be time for lunch already! So, after charging our batteries on, we’ll go for a visit to see this new city, also known by the name of « the Blue Pearl of Morocco ». We’ll have a walk through the blue streets and walk around the narrow alleys between the old medina, starting from the Uta Hammam Square, which was built with the red walls from an old kasbah. There are also two other monuments to see, a fortress and a dungeon from the XV century. Overnight stay at the hotel/riad.
CHEFCHAOUEN – ASILAH
After breakfast, we’ll continue our way to Asilah, a small village settled in the Atlantic Coast —the old medina will be easy to be discovered on your own! Asilah was a fortified city of great interest because of its beauty. It’s a complete masterpiece within a pretty small souk inside. We’ll cross the Bab el Kasba, we’ll see the Great White Mosque, their Portuguese strongholds and the particular Borj al Kamra. We’ll stop to have a cup of tea in the Ibn Khaldun Square and we’ll have a walk to see the charismatic narrow streets full of paintings, which makes it very bohemian! Afterwards, we’ll visit the Mausoleum of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur and the Saadian Tombs. Overnight stay at the hotel.
ASILAH – THE CAVE OF HERCULES – TANGIER
In the morning, you’ll have some free time to enjoy the gorgeous beaches of Asilah before leaving to go to see the Cave of Hercules, a true wonder of nature where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean are fused within the ground creating a very special place to see. Also we’ll visit the Cape of Spartel, next to the Atantic Coast, 14 km (8,6 mi) away from Tangier. Arrival to Tangier at noon and transfer to the the airport.
